Effects
But, due to recent economic situations, all car manufacturers are suffering. They are forced to increase the price of their cars which results in a loss of sales. The forex situation, high costs of production, low demand, and high inflation are making situations difficult.
Currently, the Government of Pakistan increased the GST on all car models of 1400cc or above from 18% to 25%. It has brought significant change in the Changan Alsvin prices and clearly reduced the demand in public. Following the price hike, Changan Alsvin’s ex-factory price will start from Rs. 4,149,000 and go up to Rs. 499,000.
The overall price difference is up to Rs. 400,000 which is quite a bit too much. However, as the company has GST to blame, we cannot do anything but go with the flow.
