After the successful launch of its first sedan in Pakistan, Changan Pakistan is now ready to enter the SUV segment. The company has recently unveiled a few sketches of its upcoming SUV model. But now the new model of Changan Oshan X7 launch has occurred and for the first time, X7 Plus has been seen on the streets of Karachi. After testing three different models, the company has brought one. Now let’s talk about this amazing car.

Changan Pakistan has not announced the official specs and features of the upcoming SUV. But, we expect that the Assembly X7 Plus will have features similar to the internationally assembled model.

Features

Speaking of the features, the Changan Oshan X7 Plus, as the name implies, is the latest version of the X7 SUV. It comes with Changan’s state-of-the-art Blue Whale 1.5L turbocharged engine, which produces 178 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. Changan claims that the SUV has the same fuel efficiency as the sedan – on average 14 kilometres per litre. 

The X7 Plus comes as a 5-seater SUV in China. However, Pakistan may also get a special 7-seater version. If so, it will be the only vehicle with a seamless configuration.

Competition

Changan’s upcoming SUV will stand against Toyota Fortuner and KIA Sorento. As the market for SUVs is flourishing in Pakistan, this new addition will be a plus for the market and customers. X7 Plus is competitive in terms of design, price, engine and other specs.

Official Launch

According to resources, Changan Oshan X7 plus will launch its new model in the first quarter of 2022. 

The interesting thing about the Plus variant of Changan Oshan X7 launch  will be the first ‘global launch’ for any vehicle in Pakistan. This means that Pakistan will be the first country to acquire this Changan SUV outside its domestic market China. This is a big step in Pakistan because something is happening that has never happened before.
