KARACHI: The leader of the house in the Sindh Assembly will be chosen in Karachi this evening.
The nomination papers for this purpose will be received till 4 pm and scrutiny will be held at 5 pm. The final list of the valid nomination paper will be displayed at 6 pm.
The election for the leader of the house will be held through open method not through a secret ballot.
Meanwhile‚ election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Sindh Assembly is being held in Karachi this morning.
The PPP has nominated Aga Siraj Durrani for the office of the Speaker and Syeda Shehla Raza for the Deputy Speaker.
MQM’s Khawaja Izharul Haq is competing for Speaker and Heer Ismail Soho for Deputy Speaker.
Similarly‚ Irfanullah Marwat of PML-N is contesting for Speaker and Ms.Busrat Bano Sehar Abbasi of PML-F for Deputy Speaker.
