ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Office said on Thursday that the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Islamabad will soon take place.
In her weekly press briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, the Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said that the Chinese president during his meeting with the prime minister’s adviser on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit at Dushanbe expressed his keenness to visit Pakistan at the earliest.
The spokesperson further said that Jinping’s visit to India will not have any bearing on Pak-China relations.
“The visit of the Chinese president to India will not affect Pak-China ties as he will soon be visiting Pakistan,” Aslam told reporters.
