LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday took notice of a female bus hostess slapped by PML-N MPA Nighat Sheikh.
According to the report that MPA Nighat Sheikh, traveling from Islamabad to Lahore, allegedly slapped bus hostess Iqra Nawaz for not serving water quickly.
Passengers of the bus intervened and demanded a legal action against the woman lawmaker. On this, the driver took the bus to a local police station in Sargodha.
However, instead of taking action against the MPA, a case was registered against the hostess, who was briefly arrested by the police.
Later, she was released over lack of sufficient evidence.
Taking notice of the incident, the chief ministers asked the police to submit a report.
