Vienna, Austria: “Kashmiris in Indian Occupied Kashmir are facing grave human right situation and going through worst kind of state terrorism”.
This was observed in a conference organized by European Youth Association, Vienna in collaboration with Pakistani Community.
The participants of conference titled “Kashmir Conflict and Human Rights” expressed their grave concern over complete clampdown in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) since last 70 days while constant curfew, communication blackout and absence of medical services and food stocks in IoK have already created humanitarian crises which is aggravating with every passing day.
The conference was attended by representatives from Austria based Diplomatic Community, Think Tanks, NGO, Human rights organisations and media-men.
A short documentary exposing grave situation in Kashmir was also screened while Ambassador of Pakistan Mansoor Ahmad Khan informed participants the historical background of Kashmir issue and how situation had changed when India on August 5 made Occupied Kashmir as its Union in categorical violation of several resolution of United Nations Security Council those still wait for execution as UNSC ordered plebiscite in both side of Kashmir calling the area as Disputed.
The conference was hosted at Renaissance Hotel, Vienna and lasted for over two hours.
A question and answer session was also part of conference in which participants Pakistani Ambassador several questions about legal status of Kashmir and position of Pakistan government in reference to current situation.
