ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Government of Balochistan will host a Conference on “Livestock in Balochistan – Prospects and Opportunities” at Marriott Hotel in Islamabad on November 8.

The Conference will be held in collaboration with the Center for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS), the Food and Agriculture Organization (UNO) & the University of Balochistan, Quetta.

The Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan will be the Chief Guest on the occasion.Conference on “Livestock in Balochistan - Prospects and Opportunities” in Islamabad on Nov 1

Besides Jam Kamal Khan, the Conference will be addressed by the Chief Secretary Balochistan Captain (retd) Fazeel Asghar, the former Minister Livestock and Dairy Development (Punjab) Mumtaz Muhammad Khan Manais, and the Ambassadors/Representatives from Embassies of China, Australia & Iran.

The Chairperson of Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) Roshan Khursheed Bharucha will also make a speech on “Poultry Development and Economic Empowerment of Women in Balochistan” while the Dairy Entrepreneur Major (retd) Yousaf will speak on “Commercial Livestock Development for Prosperity in Balochistan”.

The Balochistan Chief Minister’s Special Assistant Ijaz Sanjrani will end the event with a Vote of Thanks.

In the Conference, a video about the livestock industry in Balochistan will also be played.

The Conference will be followed by a Grand Livestock Expo in Quetta.

Earlier the Conference was planned on November 1; however, later due to unavoidable circumstances, it was postponed and November 8 was set as the new date for its occurrence.
