ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Coronavirus (COVID-19) took 64 more lives across Pakistan on February 24, raising the death toll to 12,772 since the outbreak of the virus, as per the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
The Punjab province suffered most as it recorded 39 deaths in the last 24 hours, Sindh 14, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 8, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) 3.
In total, with 5,308 deaths, Punjab remains the most affected province in terms of fatalities followed by Sindh wherein 4,315 COVID patients have so far passed away.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has so far recorded a total of 2,058 deaths, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) 494, AJK 296, Balochistan 199, and Gilgit-Baltistan 102.
Additionally, 1,361 more infections were reported across Pakistan in the last 24 hours; thus, now the total number of Coronavirus Cases in the Country has reached 575,941.
Of them, 257,089 Coronavirus Cases have emerged in Sindh, 169,474 in Punjab, 71,490 in KPK, 43,901 in ICT, 19,010 in Balochistan, 10,022 in AJK, and 4,955 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
So far 539,888 people have recovered from the infection across Pakistan making it a significant count. Whereas as of February 25, 23,281 COVID patients are under treatment.
