Monitoring Desk: To preempt arrival of Coronavirus, Kazakhstan has decided to suspend air flights, trains and bus services to China.

According to State Run News Agency Kazinform, Civil Aviation Committee made a decision to suspend air flights between Kazakhstan and China starting from February 3 due to the outbreak of coronavirus in China.

Currently there are 23 air flights linking the Kazakhstani cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty with the Chinese cities of Beijing, Urumqi, Xian, Sanya, and Haikou. Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstan will suspend bus and train communication with China to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development has confirmed that Kazakhstan will suspend bus and railway communication with China.

Kazakhstan will suspend bus communication en route Almaty-Nur-Zholy-Urumqi, Ust-Kamenogorsk-Maikapchagai-Urumqi, Zharkent-Khorgos-Kuldzha, Ayagoz-Bakhty-Zimunai.

The passenger trains â„– 13/14 and â„–53/54 linking Almaty and Uruqi and Nur-Sultan and Urumqi will run to the Dostyk train station only as of February 1.
