ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Country seems to be on the verge of facing a severe wave of the pandemic yet again as the COVID positivity ratio continues to surge quite rapidly and it jumped to 8.16% on January 14, 2022.

In the last 24 hours, 4,286 new Cases of Coronavirus were recorded and 4 people succumbed to the virus throughout the Country, according to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).

The NCOC’s statistics showed that 52,522 people were tested yesterday to ascertain the disease, and 4,286 of them turned positive.

With fresh data pouring in, the COVID Cases in the Country have reached 1,320,120 while 29,003 people have died so far.

Sindh – 19.65%

Punjab – 3.84%

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 0.88%

Islamabad – 6.95%

Azad Jammu – 2.61%

Balochistan- 0.57%

Gilgit-Baltistan – 0.61%

The data further showed that 709 COVID patients are in critical condition all over the Country.

Meanwhile, 753,282 people were vaccinated on January 14 in the Country, taking the number of vaccines doses administered so far to 166,837,089.
