RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The City Traffic Police (CTP) on Saturday held a seminar at Government Gordon College in Rawalpindi.

While addressing the participants, the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Yousaf Ali Shahid said that the students particularly of colleges and universities should follow the traffic rules and regulations and avoid indulging in rash driving and over speeding.

The CTO said that the traffic rules are for the safety of the drivers and other road users.

Yousaf Ali Shahid said that one wheeling is a dangerous and risky activity which may causes fatal accidents. He said that the CTP is making all out efforts to control wheelie while the traffic wardens have been directed to take strict action in accordance with the law against the violators.

The CTO called upon the motorcyclists to wear helmet as it is for their own safety. He also advised the motorists not to use mobile phones while driving.

“We must be aware of driving principles and drive the vehicles according to rules and regulations. We will be the best drivers only if we follow the traffic discipline,” he said.
