RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Republic General Josef Becvar on Tuesday stressed on diversifying the defence cooperation between Pakistan and Czech Republic.
In a meeting with the Secretary Defence Lt General (retd) Muhammad Alam Khattak in Rawalpindi on Tuesday in which the two sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest including the present status of memorandum of understating (MoU) on Defence Cooperation which was signed between the two countries in March 2010, the Czech Chief of General Staff appreciated the military and technical capacity of Armed Forces of Pakistan.
While deciding to further enhance their existing defence cooperation, the secretary defence informed the visiting dignitary about the capability of Pakistan Armed Forces in the field of military and technical training along with a well-established defence industry which was compatible to the defence industries of the developed countries.
The secretary defence also expressed the desire to benefit from the expertise of Czech Republic in the field of defence industries.
The visiting dignitary was also informed about the present status of Zarb-e-Azb along with efforts for reconstruction and rehabilitation of Temporary Displaced Persons (TDPs) in Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA).
