ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that recommendations put forwarded by the Inquiry Committee following the Dawn Leaks investigation has been made public.

In a press conference in Islamabad on Thursday, Nisar said that the notification issued by the Interior Ministry a day ago had exactly the same content which had been recommended by the Inquiry Committee in its report.

The minister said that there had been procedural differences between the Civil and Military Leadership over the implementation of Inquiry Committee’s recommendations in Dawn Leaks issue which were resolved on Wednesday.

The interior minister said that the federal government supported the Inquiry Committee full heartedly, committedly and transparently in Dawn Leaks investigation. He said that there was complete consensus on the Dawn leaks inquiry report.

Chaudhry Nisar said that the Inquiry Committee gave its decision keeping in view the evidences as it was not meant to fulfill some one’s wishes. He urged that no one should make mockery of national security issues since Pakistan’s enemies had already been eagerly wanting to destabilize it.

Earlier on Wednesday, Pakistan army withdrew its unprecedented Tweet issued on April 29 in which it had rejected Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s directives to remove top Officials in line with the Inquiry Committee’s recommendations, saying that ‘(Tweet) stands withdrawn and has become infructuous.’

Pakistan army through its media wing Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) also said that recommendations as contained in Para 18 of the Inquiry Committee Report had been implemented which settled the Dawn leaks issue.
