KARACHI, Pakistan: Unknown assailants opened fire on the vehicle of Dr Shakeel Auj, the dean of Karachi University Faculty of Islamic Studies, in Karachi’s Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town on Thursday and left him seriously injured.
Later, Dr Auj succumbed to his injuries while being taken to the Aga Khan University Hospital for medical treatment.
The sources said that the incident occurred in Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town near the Baitul Mukarram mosque.
