ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Contraband items like heroin and charas are being supplied to educational institutions across the Federal Capital from the vicinity of Aabpara, it has been revealed.
Police sources said that from Katchi Abadi of Sector G-7/2, six people are supplying heroin and charas worth thousands of rupees to other parts of the Capital City on daily basis, according to Daily 92 News.
Sources said that drug dealers have the backing of police, and despite police patrolling, search operations, well-equipped police vehicles and hundreds of Check Posts having been erected at entrance and exit points of the Federal Capital, a large quantity of drug is brought from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, and sold in various areas of Islamabad.
Police sources told that the largest cache of heroine is being transported from quarter 66 of G-7/2’s Katchi Abadi wherein six people are involved in drug supply.
They said that Kachi Abadi’s resident Waheed Alias Dheenga is allegedly the main drug seller who runs the drug business. Besides, five other people named Siddiqui, Albert, Kala, Safeer and Ilyas are also involved in drug dealing in Katchi Abadi. These drug dealers sell the contraband items in 43 Katchi Abadis and other Sectors of the Federal Capital.
In addition, sources said that a close aide of a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Islamabad collects the money from drug dealers in Katchi Abadi while two police men of Aabpara Police Station have been seen with Waheed Alias Dheenga.
When contacted Aabpara Police Station SHO Khalid Awan in this regard, he said the noose was being tightened around terrorists, and actions were being taken on daily basis.
