ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has completed all arrangements for holding presidential election on Tuesday (July 30).

The Electoral College for the election includes both houses of the parliament and the four provincial assemblies.

Mamnoon Hussain of PML-N and Wajhiudin Ahmed of Pakistan Tehreek-e Insaaf are in the run for the slot.

The ballot papers and other related material have already been sent to Parliament House in Islamabad and provincial assemblies of Sindh‚ Balochistan‚ Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G. Ibrahim has asked the parliamentarians to ensure secrecy of ballot paper while casting vote in the presidential election.

A spokesman of the Election Commission said that the election will be held through secret ballot.

He instructed the Parliamentarians to correctly mark the name of the concerned candidate in the ballot paper.

The spokesman said the legislators cannot carry mobile phones or any other electronic device through which picture of the ballot paper could be taken in the premises during the voting process.
