ISLAMABAD: A delegation of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) headed by Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G Ebrahim will hold talks with Baloch leaders on Thursday, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on Wednesday.
The delegation will meet with the National Party, Balochistan National Party Awami, BNP-Mengal, Hazara Democratic Party, Pakhtunkhwa Awami Mili Party, JUI-F, PML-N, ANP, PTI, JI and other Baloch leaders in Quetta on Thursday, an ECP statement said.
Talking to media in Islamabad‚ Secretary Election Commission Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan said members of the Provincial Election Commission are also in contact with the Baloch leaders.
Ishtiaq said members of the Commission will meet all political leaders including Brahamdakh Bugti and Sardar Akhtar Mengal and persuade them to take part in looming elections.
The ECP Secretary said the commission will also visit Punjab‚ Sindh and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa provinces. The provinces will be asked to devise security plan for the elections.
