ISLAMABAD: The member of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) from Sindh has written dissenting note on the draft nomination papers, opposing decision to go ahead with printing of nomination papers without getting presidential approval, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on Tuesday.
Roshan Esani, the ECP Sindh member, has not signed the draft of nomination papers, the ECP ordered for printing without the approval of the president, sources said.
They said that Roshan Esani had different viewpoint and written note of dissent on the draft nomination papers. He was of the view that that the president had authority to approve nomination papers, adding that sending these documents for printing without the approval by the head of the state is not fair.
It may be noted here that ECP on Monday ordered printing of amended nomination papers without the endorsement of the president.
