ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has summoned 24 former lawmakers, who are possessing fake degrees, to present for hearing in Islamabad on April 5, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on Wednesday.
Lawmakers have been summoned after directives from the Supreme Court of Pakistan to inform the court in the next hearing on what basis the fake degree cases were closed and resolve the issue, the ECP said.
Those whom the ECP has summoned include Umar Gorgaij, Shumaila Rana, Samina Khawar, Wasim Afzal Gondal, Seemal Kamran, Gul Muhammad Lot, Nawabzada Tariq Magsi, Saeed Ameer Ali Shah, Ghulam Sarwar Siyal, Dr Israr Hussain, Mukesh Kumar, Pitambar Sehwani, Shujaat Ahmed, Nadir Magsi, Rehan Yahya Baloch and Israr Ullah Zehri.
