ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government is set to launch the “Ehsaas Kafaalat Policy for Special Persons” under the umbrella of the “Ehsaas” Program.
Under the new initiative, two million families will benefit as they will be eligible to receive a monthly stipend of Rs 2,000.
In a statement on Thursday, Prime Minister Imran Khan termed it a step toward a disability-inclusive and sustainable post COVID-19 world.
Meanwhile, the annual International Day of Persons with Disabilities is being observed on Thursday (December 3) to show solidarity with disabled persons.
The theme of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2020 is “Building Back Better: toward a disability-inclusive, accessible and sustainable post COVID-19 World”.
