Eid Miladun Nabi will be observed on Wednesday (November 21, 2018) across Pakistan with religious zeal and fervor. This occasion is celebrated on the 12th of Rabiul Awwal and has special significance in the Islamic calendar (Eid Miladun Nabi Naats).
On this day, Muslims celebrate the birthday of last Prophet of Allah Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). They believe that this is the month of blessing because Prophet (PBUH) was born in this month of Rabiul Awwal.
To commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a mercy on humanity, his followers illuminate their houses with lights, exchange gifts and also distribute sweets from home to home.
Special events and Mehafil-e-Milaad are also organized in order to pay respect to the last Prophet (PBUH).
