KABUL: At least eight civilians including women and children were killed and three others injured when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb near Qalat, the capital of the restive southern Zabul province of Afghanistan on Friday, officials said.
The victims were members of the same family and that they were travelling to the provincial capital of Qalat when the roadside planted improvised explosive device (IED) hit their vehicle.
