SIALKOT, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Monday said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had overcome energy crisis by adopting comprehensive policy, and hoped to decrease electricity prices.
While addressing the inauguration ceremony of International Terminal at Sialkot Airport, the prime minister described the terminal as a milestone which would prove to be productive for the Country.
The prime minister said Rs 200 billion that were being spent on different projects in Sialkot would change the face of entire area.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said it was the first government which not only conceived projects but also completed them. He said the incumbent government completed power projects of 10,000 megawatts which had been executed keeping in view the future requirements of the Country.
Abbasi further said the Business Community of Sialkot worked hard for establishment of the airport. He added the connectivity would increase trade of the region.
Earlier the prime minister inaugurated the International Terminal at Sialkot Airport. He was briefed by the Chairman National Highway Authority (NHA) about the functioning of the new terminal, Lahore-Sialkot Motorway and several other link roads being constructed to enhance connectivity of the area.
Prior to that, when the prime minister reached Sialkot, the Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif welcomed him. The prime minister will also address the PML-N’s Workers Convention in Sialkot.
