ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari has said that enforced disappearances and killings are not acceptable at all.
While speaking on a Point of Order in National Assembly on Wednesday, Shireen Mazari said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is committed to protect human rights in the Country.
The minister said that issues of Exit Control List (ECL) and black list are also being addressed.
Shireen Mazari further said that it is wrong to grant privileges to the former Malir Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Rao Anwar. She said that Rao Anwar must be dealt as per law and not given any immunity.

The Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi while replying to Points of Order told that House that the decision on removing the names of the Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah from the ECL will be made after receiving the detailed written judgment of the Supreme Court.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has directed to review the issue, not to remove the names from ECL. He said that a Committee is also working in the Interior Ministry that decides the issues relating to ECL.
The foreign minister invited all political parties across the spectrum to show unity to resolve such national issues.
