Islamabad: Gen Raheel Sharif the Chief of Pakistan Army before his journey to Kabul sent a “Loud and Clear” message to all within Pakistan and abroad that “Enough is enough, now strict action should have been taken against those who speak in favor of terrorists”. His twitter message is one of many he had been sending since Army Public School massacre took place on Tuesday. However ISPR clarified on Wednesday evening that Chief has no twitter account.

Insider circles of GHQ confirmed that “Chief did not sleep a second since this he got news of killing of innocent children in Army Public School”.

Army Chief who belongs to a family known for his sacrifices and Martyrdom for this soil has reacted not as a chief of the Pakistan Army rather as father of all who were massacred on Tuesday by senseless Taliban. “He has promised with himself to take revenge from those who killed innocent children in school and he looks very firm, committed but same time very emotional to take every possible step for destroying the thought of Talibanisation not only Taliban”, said a former colleague of Gen. Raheel Sharif who knows as a “person” not only as a solider or as the Chief of Pakistan Army.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif looks also firm to eradicate the extremists from the country and announced hanging of Taliban leaders who are in jail and who have received verdict for hanging in different cases of mass killing but a Presidential order released by the former President under the pressure of European Union stopped hangings. Now these around 260 plus terrorists will be hanged soon in different jails of Pakistan. There are serious threats for attacks on jails from Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) now but special measures have been taken place to rebut such possible attacks.

Researchers who follow terrorism as a subject believe that massacre in Army Public School will disintegrate Taliban from their supporters sitting in intelligence networking. There have always been links between security services and the Taliban, but after targeting the children, Taliban have ruined such remaining links. Moreover the military response will be swift and overwhelming and beyond the imagination of Taliban.

This is also true that after receiving so clear message from the Chief of Pakistan Army, religious and political personalities will be forced to abandon their visible support and sympathy for Taliban.

The most important factor of this barbaric act is that Taliban have stroked a region from where they recruit their foot soldiers and backing for the Taliban will further drop in KPK particularly in Peshawar valley. “Taliban are waging a war not with guns, but with minds. By winning the moral high ground over the West they have recruited thousands of young men and a never-ending flow of new members has made Taliban difficult to beat and defeat. But after killing children in school, I believe Taliban have lost such moral support from common people of this region”, said Naveed Miraj, a senior journalist covering Afghanistan issue since early 80s.

After this attack, Pak-Afghan-US military cooperation can increase after and Kabul will be in extreme pressure to hand over Taliban leadership that is sitting in Kunar Valley and operating from there against Pakistan. Taliban are successfully operating just because of cross-border tactics because they have support in Afghanistan. “If Afghan intelligence agencies withdraw their support for Taliban under pressure from United States, then life will become very miserable for Taliban and Pakistan Army will kill them like bubbles on water”, said one former General when he was asked to comment over involvement of Afghan intelligence agencies in supporting Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Even very religious people belonging to a sect that has been supporting Mujahedeen and Taliban since 3 decades believe that religious extremism has gone beyond proportion and Taliban have betrayed the people who defend them and they have targeted the innocent children of their supporters and challenged the military to strike back with force they have never before wielded. People believe in Peshawar that Army Public School massacre is the biggest mistake made by Taliban in over a decade. In sowing nothing but sorrow to Pakistan they will in turn reap their own.

Nobody knows what will be the end of this horrific war against terrorism because Islamic terrorism is like a multi-head serpent– you smash its three heads–three more will appear with different faces.
