ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Executive Director Muslim Hands Syed Javid Gillani held a meeting with the Chairman NDMA Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik in Islamabad on Monday.
Syed Javid Gillani Javid apprised the Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) of working scope of his organization in Pakistan and progress on construction of climate-friendly houses in areas of Mastung and Jafarabad in Balochistan by Muslim Hands.
The Executive Director Muslim Hands also invited Chairman NDMA to inaugurate the newly built houses upon completion in January 2023.
The Chairman NDMA acknowledged the relief efforts by Muslim Hands during Floods 2022 and its active participation in ongoing rehabilitation phase.
Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik emphasized on laying out a comprehensive humanitarian response model for donors and international as well as local NGOs for well-coordinated and tangible outcomes of relief and rehabilitation process.
The Chairman NDMA highlighted the upcoming NDMA’s public declaration to indicate contours of future Disasters’ Management Plan in Pakistan after consultation with all key stakeholders.
