QUETTA, Pakistan: Two days after President Mamnoon Hussain’s son escaped a bomb attack on his convoy in Balochistan’s Hub City, the Frontier Corps (FC) has arrested four terrorists involved in the attack.

In a statement, the FC spokesman Abdul Wasay said that terrorists belonged to a banned outfit and their arrests were made during a raid at Ramzan Goth area of Hub on Tuesday morning.

The FC spokesman said that the raid was carried out by security forces and other agencies in Ramzan Goth area.

Wasay said that the arrested terrorists were involved in terrorism incidents in Hub.

On Sunday, a convoy of President Mamnoon Hussain’s son Salman Mamnoon was targeted in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Hub. Salman remained unhurt in the blast but unfortunately three persons lost their lives and 15 including police personnel were injured in the incident.

Death row convict executed in Machh Jail

Separately, a death row convict Sardar Ibrahim was hanged till death at the Balochistan’s Central Jail Machh on Tuesday

Ibrahim had been convicted of murdering a person in 2003 in Qilla Saifullah.
