RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: A 22-year-old Frontier Corps (FC) soldier embraced martyrdom while two soldiers got injured when terrorists fired from across the Pak-Afghan border, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

In a statement on Tuesday, the ISPR said that terrorists targeted a security forces border post on the Pak-Afghan border in the Manzaikai Sector in Zhob area of Balochistan.

Resultantly, 22-year-old Naik Fakhr Abbas martyred while two FC soldiers suffered injuries.

“Pakistan has consistently been raising the issue with the Afghanistan authorities for effective border management on their side of the border to check cross border terrorist incidents,” the ISPR said.

Indian forces’ firing leaves 45-year-old man injured

Earlier in another statement, the ISPR said that another Indian unprovoked ceasefire violation in the Bagsar Sector along the Line of Control (LoC) left a 45-year-old man critically injured.

The injured named Muhammad Afzal is a resident of Mehtika village.

The ISPR said that the injured man was evacuated to a nearby hospital for necessary medical care.

It said that the Pakistan army is responding to the unprovoked Indian fire and have targeted the Indian post which initiated the fire.
