ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Cabinet has formed a Task Force to retrieve looted money from abroad, the Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry said.

While briefing the media along with the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on accountability Barrister Mirza Shahzad Akbar about the Federal Cabinet meeting held earlier in the day with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the Chair, Fawad Chaudhry said that a Unit has been established at the Prime Minister’s House to bring the nation’s looted wealth back to the Country.

Fawad Chaudhry said that the Cabinet has decided to abolish discretionary funds of worth Rs 80 billion. He said that an approval has been given to end discretionary funds of all federal ministries and divisions.

The information minister said that a Task Force under the Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood has been formed to impose same educational syllabus in Schools and Madrassas across the Country and provinces.

The minister said that the Federal Cabinet has also taken a decision to take initiatives against child abuse and labor. He said that orphanages will be built across the Country to provide shelter to street children, and where they will be provided education, food and care.

Fawad Chaudhry further said that the prime minister has also issued directions to prohibit corporal punishment to students.

In addition, he said that 10,000 Pakistani nationals are imprisoned in various Countries. He said that the Foreign Office has been directed to extend all possible assistance to imprisoned Pakistanis.
