ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal government has allocated Rs 26.9 billion for Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) for its ongoing and new schemes under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP 2017-18).

According to details, an amount of Rs 26.250 billion has been earmarked for three ongoing schemes and block allocation Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), whereas Rs 0.650 billion allocated for two new schemes.

Among new schemes, an amount of Rs 50 million has been fixed for Establishment of Nawaz Sharif Model Town in Miranshah in North Waziristan Agency, whereas Rs 600 million have been allocated for widening and improvement of Ghalanai Mohamand Gatt road.

The project of construction of new Chao Tangi small dam in South Waziristan Agency will get Rs 439 million, whereas Rs 811 million have been allocated for construction of Nahqi Tunnel Mohamand Agency and Rs 500 million has been earmarked for Zyara to Dabori road, Aurakzai Agency.
