ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government on Friday announced Nizam-e-Salaat under which all sects will offer Azans and prayers in Islamabad at the same time.
The announcement about the uniform Azaan and prayer timings in the federal capital was made by the Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf at the Faisal Mosque in Islamabad.
The visiting Imam-e Kaaba Dr Sheikh Khalid al Ghamidi was also present on the occasion.
Imam-e-Kaaba leads Friday prayers at Faisal Mosque
Earlier, the Imam-e-Kaaba Shaikh Khalid Al Ghamidi led Friday prayers at Faisal Mosque in Islamabad.
President Mamnoon Hussain, federal ministers, parliamentarians and diplomats of Islamic countries were amongst the thousands of faithful who offered Friday prayers behind the Imam-e-Kaaba.
In his address to the mammoth gathering, the Imam-e-Kaaba said that Islam is the world’s best religion which preaches unity, harmony, love and brotherhood.
The Imam-e-Kaaba said that the Muslims are the followers of one religion and one Allah and they should help each other in difficult times. He said that our success in this world and the hereafter lies in the pursuance of the Holy Quran and Sunnah of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
