ISLAMABAD: The federal government is in contact with the Switzerland government to recover $200 billion deposited illegally by Pakistanis in the Swiss Banks, the National Assembly was informed on Friday.
During the question-hour session of the lower house of the parliament on Friday, the Parliamentary Secretary for Finance Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan told the House that the cabinet has approved a summary to renegotiate the existing Pakistan-Switzerland Tax Treaty.
The parliamentary secretary said that the renegotiation of this treaty will help identify those Pakistanis who have illegally stashed away their money in the Swiss banks.
