ISLAMABAD: The federal government is working on a proposal to constitute National Curriculum Council after consultations with the provinces to introduce uniform syllabus in the country, the National Assembly was informed.
During the question-hour session of the lower house of the parliament on Thursday, the minister of state Jam Kamal told the House that the council will have equal representation from all the provincial and federal governments.
The state minister said that a committee would also be constituted to draft the terms of references of the council which will be fully autonomous.
Moreover, he said that the government plans to enhance primary enrolment from 68 percent to 91 percent by 2015.
