ISLAMABAD: The federal minister for interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan told the National Assembly on Friday that the federal minister is convening a meeting of Chief Ministers of all the four provinces next week with the aim to seek their inputs on the internal security policy.
During the question hour session of the house on Friday, the interior minister said that genuine suggestions of the Chief Ministers will be incorporated in the policy.
The interior minister said that the national security policy envisages allocation of Rs 32 billion for the strengthening of internal security network. He said that all available resources will be used to deal with terrorism as it is the most serious issue.
Moreover, he emphasized the need for greater coordination amongst the provinces to cope with the issue of terrorism. He said that the provinces and federation should hold joint meetings every month.
