ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government will launch the health insurance scheme in 26 districts of the country on August 14, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz said.
In her address at the inaugural ceremony of a private sector health facility Al-Wadood Hospital in Islamabad on Friday, Maryam Nawaz said that it would be for the first time that the poor would have access to best medical facilities both at government and private hospitals.
Maryam Nawaz said that initially the scheme would be introduced in 26 districts of the country.
The PML-N said that it is vision of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to reach out to under-privileged strata of the society to remove their sufferings and ensure socio-economic well-being.
