Ferry carrying 200 passengers sinks in Bangladesh river

DHAKA, Bangladesh: A ferry carrying about 200 passengers has reportedly capsized in the river Padma in central Bangladesh’s Munshiganj district on Monday; however, no deaths have been reported yet.

The deputy commissioner of the district Muhammad Saiful Hasan Badal said that 44 passengers have been rescued from the vessel, Pinak-6.
