ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh would continues to discharge his duties under the same capacity as there is no truth to the media reports about his resignation, Finance ministry spokesman said on Sunday.
The minister would also chair the scheduled high-level meeting of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Monday, the spokesman said.
Earlier, it was reported that Minister for Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh resigned from his post and he could be given an important post in the caretaker setup.
