PESHAWAR: The Chief Justice Peshawar High Court (PHC) Justice Dost Muhammad Khan on Saturday inaugurated the mobile courts on the premises of the PHC in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the first ever mobile courts in the history of the country.
The mobile court has been established in a special bus. It has been completed with the financial assistance of United Nations Development Program (UNDP) at a cost of Rs 15 million.
Speaking on this occasion, the chief justice PHC said the new system had been introduced in order to provide justice to the needy at their doorsteps.
The chief justice PHC said initially, 9 judges and 18 lawyers had been trained to run the mobile court systems.
