Breaking News: First Statement of Hamid Mir from Hospital. “ISI was not happy with me”, says Hamid
Islamabad: Younger brother of Hamid Mir who is also a journalist read statement of Hamid Mir outside his hospital room.
Amir Mir read that:
God has given me new life. I informed fears about my life to my family, Geo administration and my colleagues that state and non- state actors are after my life. Intelligence people came to my home and informed me that my name is on the hit list prepared by some people but intelligence agencies people did not inform me who made this list. ISI was not happy with me after I held a talk show about Mama Qadir Baloch. Police did not take any action against any one even after the incident of planting bomb in his car although Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) accepted the responsibility of this incident. Police also did not take action against those who were calling him and threaten him for dire consequences. My family is under threat.
It may be mentioned that all television channels did not air his statement although all television channels and newspapers were invited at the time when Amir Mir was reading the statement of Hamid Mir
