SWABI: Unknown gunmen opened fire at a vehicle carrying members of a same family in Yar Hussain region of Swabi on Friday, killing at least five persons and injuring eight others.
The Station House Officer (SHO) Aijaz Khan told media that these people were going from Swabi to Peshawar airport in order to bid farewell to a relative who was leaving for Saudi Arabia before the attack occurred.
The victims included women, children and also the relative who was leaving for Saudi Arabia.
The dead and injured were shifted to hospital.
