Asad Umar addressed Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Finance Minister Asad Umar has said that five Knowledge Centers will be formed throughout the Country, and one of them will be established in Islamabad.
While addressing the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) in Islamabad on Friday, the minister said a comprehensive policy will be evolved for tax reforms, adding that policy-making and tax collection will be separated in the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) as per the global practice.

Asad Umar said that the policy board will soon be constituted in which businessmen will also be given representation. He said the business community will also be taken on board on tax reforms.

The minister further said that we require the cooperation of ICCI to resolve the issues of Islamabad. He said that right now by-pass of Pakistan’s economy is being done. He said that after the successful by-pass the economy will get back on to the track and will run.
The finance minister said that in a session held two days ago, Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed to resolve the water issue of Islamabad immediately. He said the prime minister directed to prepare a plan for the provision of 10 million gallon water.
Asad Umar said that the young leadership should think of the burden about to come next year.
