ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal minister for information Pervaiz Rasheed said on Friday that the Islamabad administration has been directed to assure foolproof security for participants of long march.
In a statement, the information minister also asked that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to cooperate in providing security to marchers.
Rasheed said that the PTI Chairman Imran Khan should resign from politics by not taking right decision at the right time. He claimed that very few people are participating in the PTI’s Azadi march.
Gujranwala situation under control: Mashood
The Punjab Law Minister Rana Mashood has said that the situation is under control in Gujranwala after the deployment of more police personnel there.
His statement came after a clash broke out between the workers of the PTI and the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) in the city.
The media reports said that the PML-N workers allegedly attacked the PTI’s Azadi march when it was passing through Gujranwala on Friday morning and injured many PTI workers. The reports said that the PML-N workers also fired gunshots at Imran Khan’s containers.
