Lahore, Pakistan: The Forensic Report released by the Punjab government has categorically rejected the claim of former Prime Minister Imran Khan that he was hit by four bullets.
It is pertinent to mention that the Medico-legal examination of Imran Khan was performed in his own hospital by the doctors of Jinnah Hospital and no record of his medico-legal examination was shared with the media and the media were also barred to visit the injured persons including Imran Khan.
The former Prime Minister while flouting all rules laid down by the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPc) compelled Punjab police to allow him to medico-legal in his own hospital Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centres (SKMCH&RC) which is a private cancer hospital while the rules state that injured/dead would be shifted to any government hospital nearby and medical examination would be performed by government public sector doctors. However, even after extensive manipulation, the former PM has failed to distort all facts and the report released by the Punjab government where his party has government categorically rejected all claims of Imran Khan that he has/had four bullets in his body.
According to the report, a total of 14 bullets were fired, 12 of which were fired from the accused Naveed’s 30-bore pistol and two from another SMG rifle. One of the bullets, allegedly hit Moazzam from the back while the remaining hit others.
PML-N Senator Massadik Masood Malik while reacting to the report said Imran Khan was continuously lying as he deliberately increased the number of bullets fired at him. “No one should be shot at in political gatherings, and firing at Maryam Nawaz including others is condemnable”, he added.
It may be mentioned that Imran Khan came under attack during the long march reception camp at Allahwala Chowk in Wazirabad. He was shifted to his hospital Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centres (SKMCH&RC) Lahore from Wazirabad instead of any hospital nearby. It took over three hours to reach his hospital after he received his injuries.
It is pertinent to mention that Dispatch News Desk (DND) News Agency released stories contesting the claims of former PM Imran Khan that he had been hit by four bullets. However, the Punjab government had been denied such reports.
