ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi on Monday arrested former Senator Ayaz Khan Mandokhel from Quetta on charges of corruption in Senate Secretariat, Employees Cooperative Housing Society (SSECHS) Islamabad.
The accused Ayaz Khan Mandokhel s/o Sheikh Ameer Muhammad in connivance with co-accused Rana Ghulam Murtaza and Muhammad Akram sold out and transferred precious land at very low price against purchasing price of land of the Society.
The accused Ayaz Mandokhel is beneficiary of 40 kanal land which was sold out by management of the Society situated in Gagri, Islamabad without any prior approval from Circle Registrar, Islamabad and caused loss to tune of Rs. 46 million to the Society.
The accused was produced before duty Magistrate, Quetta, who granted transit remand of Ayaz Khan into NAB Rawalpindi custody for transfer him from Quetta to Islamabad.
The accused will be produced before Accountability Court Islamabad for obtaining his physical remand.
