PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Three Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Officials and a Civilian were injured when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) targeted their vehicle in Peshawar on Monday.
Talking to media, the CTD officials said that three officials of the CTD were enroute to a girls school in a vehicle but as they reached Khatko bridge in Peshawar, an IED planted along the roadside exploded.
Resultantly, the CTD officials Akbar Ali, Israr and Nizar, and one passerby Wali-ur-Rehman sustained injuries. They were shifted to a nearby hospital.
The CTD officials said that earlier two improvised explosive devices had been found installed outside a Girls Primary School in Urmar village Shamshato Road. One IED exploded while the other was defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS).
The CTD officials were going to the site of the explosion outside the girls school when their vehicle was targeted at Khatko bridge. The IED blast outside the school didn’t cause any casualty.
