LAHORE, Pakistan: Four more murder convicts were executed in various jails across Punjab on Wednesday morning.
Two death row convicts Moazzam Khan and Rizwan were hanged to death at Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore in two separate murder cases.
Moazzam had killed a man in 1995 while Rizwan was convicted of killing six people in 2006.
In Central Jail Sahiwal, Zahid Hussain Chohan, convicted of murdering a police constable in 2001 was executed.
Similar, another condemned prisoner Muhammad Nazeer was hanged till death in Bahawalpur Central Jail for killing a friend over a petty argument during a cricket match in 2001.
On Tuesday, 17 death row prisoners were hanged till death across the country, the highest number of executions to have taken place in a day since the federal government removed the moratorium on death penalties in December last year.
