The funeral prayers of martyrs (Shuhada) – who embraced shahadat on Tuesday while fighting valiantly against terrorists during an intense exchange of fire between own troops and terrorists in Asman Manza area of South Waziristan district – were offered at Wana.
The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that Shuhada will be laid to rest with full military honours in their respective hometowns.
The it said that the Corps Commander Peshawar and other senior serving officers attended the funeral prayers.
The ISPR said that the armed forces of Pakistan stand resolute and committed to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the motherland at all costs.
Earlier, the Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar Ul Haq Kakar expressed grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of soldiers in exchange of fire with terrorists in Asman Manza area of South Waziristan.
In a message, the caretaker prime minister said the six soldiers who lost their lives fighting the terrorists are pride of the Country.
Paying homage to the martyrs, he said that sacrifices of these soldiers will not go in vain and the menace of terrorism will be extirpated forever.
