The COAS met and addressed huge gathering of soldiers of Army and Rangers at Lahore Garrison.
While addressing troops, General Raheel said that accomplishment of peace and stability was not an ordinary task.

Earlier in January this year, General Raheel announced that he would not take extension in his tenure as the COAS following the completion of three-year term; therefore he would leave his Office on November 29, 2016.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif didn’t make any appointment yet for the Post. He would select names for the appointment of new Army Chief and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) from a list of senior most generals forwarded by the COAS.
