RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has said that more work has yet to be done to make Pakistan a peaceful and prosperous country.
“We are not there yet, and have more work to do to achieve our final objective of a fully peaceful and prosperous Pakistan,” the COAS reiterated while highlighting his vision of conclusion of Operations for peace and stability in Pakistan during his visit to Headquarters of Southern Command in Quetta on Thursday.
While addressing the participants of Command and Staff College during his visit, the COAS explained international and regional security environment, and emphasised Pakistan’s resolve and determination to confront the global phenomenon of terrorism and extremism.
“No other military of the world has been able to synergise effects as much as Pak Army could do single handedly. I am rightly proud of commanding this dynamic and resolute force,” the army chief said according to the Inter Services Public Relations (COAS).
Dilating on the effects of anti-terror military Operation Zarb-e-Azb, the COAS explained how they had transited from hard core kinetic Operations to intelligence based operations and now combing Operations.
