The appreciation and acknowledgement from Germany came at a time when Pakistan’s ally in the war on terror United States suspended its defence cooperation to Islamabad, accusing the latter of not taking decisive action against all terror outfits especially Haqqani Network.

The US President Donald Trump in his notorious tweet on January 1 taunted Pakistan of receiving $33 billion in last 15 years from the United States but yet tried to befool Washington.

However, Pakistan utterly rejected Trump’s accusation and pointed out that its sacrifices in war on terror were unprecedented; therefore, the US must be thankful to Pakistan for helping Washington, which is heavily dependent on Islamabad for providing logistic support to forces fighting against Taliban in the war-torn Country.
